I have thousands of rounds on the OEM macro slide and a XXL ported slide (4.1"). The after ported slide hands down runs better. Recoil is a lot softer on the ported slide vs the macro comped slide. Ported you get better recoil reduction performance and a longer barrel. Only con with doing the porting is the wait time.
