With that in mind we have another project we’re working on in the background to announce, the Nexus Mods API. To offer deeper integration with our website and services we will be opening our new API to the public in the near future.

Mar 2, 2019 · The best way to start super fresh, is to just wipe the game folder and install fresh from Steam. Vortex has worked very well for me, both with Fallout 4 and Skyrim. Mods from Nexus as well as Mods from Files have all installed well and I really like the details. What I don't like, is starting fresh.

If you also wants to delete the mod-archives choose "Delete archive" in the dialogue that opens-up after choosing Remove on all mods. It will allow me to install simple mods without a FOMOD, but any FOMOD also hang. I just wanted to see if I can reinstall Vortex and maybe "fix" any corrupted files, etc, without it removing all of my mods. I have almost 1600 and it's taken me months to get my game to a semi-stable place where everything plays together nicely.

The only time I needed visual reordering was because merge plugins needs the plugins to load consecutively. Visual reordering could be added behind a hidden advanced mode though.If you are using Vortex: - Purge all mods - turn it off (it will cry if you don't) - keep it off until you have a working game.
