Tailgate Pad like the Raceface T2 Pros and cons? Crossbars with the rack seem nice because you can still use the bed of the truck and close it. Tailgate is unobstructed. Rear camera and sensors are unobstructed. Cons are that you can only hold two bikes (not sure if you can fit more racks on), and it seems like a pain to remove.

Despite some reports of issues with pads, I refuse to give up on the idea of using a tailgate pad on a pickup truck. Yesterday I tried the Race Face T2, which I picked because it has significant padding right where others have experienced issues with the tailgate ridge.
