Without a saw i don't believe I can get planks, so that leaves hoping to find matches/lighters on zombie corpses. These seem rare enough to be unreliable, unless I hope to get one at the start of the run, and then provide enough logs to never let the fire run out.

Hello, can't figure out why this isn't working. I made a campfire kit. I assembled it, it is on the ground. I put fuel in it (campfire info says it has fuel for an hour and a half) I have a notched plank in my inventory. I have sturdy sticks in my inventory. Right clicking on the unlit campfire gives me no option to light fire.

Jul 28, 2015 · Currently you can use a knife or screwdriver to craft a notched plank out of logs, bypassing the need for a saw to make planks. It's moot, because you still need a saw to make a sturdy stick out of planks, but it seems inconsistent, because if I can make a notched plank out of logs, I should also be able to craft a sturdy stick out of logs.
