Mdt xrs vs krg bravo.
I cracked the stock, purely cosmetic, but would like to get into the chassis game at a price point I can afford, and that seems to be the XRS or Bravo range of pricing, with accessories as needed. I'm leaning XRS based my initial impressions, and on what I've heard about support from MDT vs. KRG.

Posted March 9. I put about 7k rounds of 6.5 creed through rifles in a bravo back in 2019. Didn’t like the small pistol grip or having to remove the cheek piece to get the bolt out. The recoil lug also floated on the Howa inlet which always made me nervous. The lack of simple options to increase the weight or add simple things like an ARCA ...I like the Bravo, but the X-ray is not the "chassis look" version of the bravo... its essentially the polymer/less adjustable version of the Whiskey-3. Completely different between the X-ray and the Bravo. A year ago I really wanted the Lss but it was about $850 here so I was convinced that I should rather get the Krg Bravo. At this moment I can't comment on whether I prefer a stock or a chassis but I do prefer the look of the chassis. I'm torn on this as there's not a lot of Bravo's here so I can't get real world comparisons from anyone here.
So I was then convinced I needed a PRS1 and dropped a bunch of money for it. Long story short, I now have a KRG Bravo and am totally happy with it. The cost vs performance difference isn’t worth it IMO. Plus, I had to send multiple stocks back to Manners due to issues with inletting, etc. They took care of me but it was a big hassle.

The Oryx is a tank. Alum with plastic panels. Both work, depends on what you are going to do with the rifle. Hunting rifle to carry, KRG BRAVO hands down. Nov 24, 2021 · I am in need of some help making a decision. I just traded for a new CZ 457 Varmint 22 LR. I have narrowed my choices down to either the KRG Bravo or the MDT XRS. The only chassis I have ever owned was an Oryx. I know that I don't want to go that route again. As far as ergonomics go, they appear to be pretty close. For bench work I prefer the MDT. Both have adjustable combs but the MDT starts in a lower position. If you look at pictures of the KRG you'll see a cutout for bolt removal. MDT doesn't need this because of the lower comb. For me this means less cheek on the stock which is good from the bench.

XRS is definitely more geared for the prs realm on a budget. I like being able to use whichever grip I want on the oryx, however I would prefer having the option for Mlok on the side of the forend.
