Master lost sector not dropping exotics.

The Lost Sector was designated to drop Helmets. We just got lucky like you. You can run them in a fireteam but exotics only drop on solo clears. You can get exotics, but they will not be that days slot specific nor does it have bad luck protection. To get slot specific and get guaranteed new items you have to run solo.Today, I am farming the same lost sector on Master (1350), where it says the exotic is common and not rare, but yet I find myself getting the exotics to drop way less. Thanks man. Someone did extensive testing on many lost sectors (literally several thousand total runs) and found a roughly 25% exotic drop rate for legend and 33% for master. They had several dry runs exceeding 30 lost sectors in a row with no exotic drop. So sometimes, you just get very unlucky. After that you can get any exotic to drop including the new one. Your first exotic drop from the lost sector has a high chance of being the new one as the odds are "heavily weighted" towards it. Once you get your first one, the "heavy weighting" is gone. It has the same chance of dropping as all the other exotics in that slot.

Rng to the point where I prefer GMs for my exotics. Sure it won't be targeted to a specific armour slot, but the ones that drop have great stats. Plus some GMs only take 20 min or less for a clear and a guaranteed exotic drop vs sometimes spending an hour or two trying to get 1 exotic from even a master lost sector.
