For sub 1min teams, they have to nuke the boss before it gets immunity, or have a strip with good ai so it actually strips when the immunity comes, which requires pretty crazy runes for db12. I honestly think tricaru is easier to build.Don't disregard 5* runes if you are trying to get the team started. My first tricaru team had 7 5* determination runes on it overall. Especially slot 1/3/5 can be grinded into a useable rune, but I also had a few 2/4/6. The runes on astar are not easy to get. Mine has +2k atk, 100 crit chance and 200 crit damage iirc, +50ish speed, +6k hp, vamp broken ... Tricaru has a total of 7 fight sets + 1 shield set Astar has +8948 HP, +1753ATK, +193 Def, +57 Spd, 100 Crate, 214 Cdmg All towers maxed.

Tricaru is still used in necro b10 and punishers b10 so it isn’t a total loss to build tricaru. It’s just that after reloaded there is no point in min-maxing tricaru (ie. skill ups, runes). I suppose if you want to be a minimalist, you really just need 1-2 icaru and substitute with raoq or something. TLDR: yes

Farming for one determination set per Tricaru is also a solid strategy.Having kunite will add a tick so no.
