After I did, the liftgate shut fine, but not it won't open at all. I've tried the button on the inside, the key fob, and the button on the liftgate. 2018 Escape and a few times the engine would completely die at a light/stop sign (during the auto start/stop) and you actually had to put it in park and restart the engine. The Ford dealer checked a code and replaced a sensor. Since then the problem has gotten much worse.
