NBME exams- So YMMV with these, they are cheap, 20$ each, but they can do a few things. one they show you what you should be ready for overall, some easy stuff, some hard, and overall feels pretty close to the real deal. I would do these, and aim to at least get average or higher on them, if you get around 18-21 youre in the ballpark. My uworld average is 48% for the surgery questions. I find there are more tricks and distractions than I’m used to. 48% puts me at a low percentile, like 4-6th percentile. I need 10th (65% ish correct) on the shelf to pass. I have no way to tell if I’m going to pass or not. Shelf is usually ~25%, clinical evals ~50-60%, and the rest is other small assignments or exams. Honors is >91 composite. 50th percentile to qualify for Honors, but the shelf is 35% of your grade and we are curved against each other. 30th percentile or 70th percentile depending upon your clinical composite.
