Petco is notorious for selling sick birds, and if he's already showing signs like this, he needs immediate attention. Definitely don't judge the baby before you know for certain that he's healthy and you've given him a decent period of time to acclimate to his new environment. Yes, grooming a dog with fleas is no problem. Just mention it during check in and they will give the dog a flea bath. The flea bath will kill any fleas on the dog but not prevent any more in the future so I would suggest getting on a preventative and cleaning your home good while pups at the salon. Better health/veterinary standards. Generally much cheaper than Petco. Plus you're supporting an animal shelter instead of a ferret mill. A ferret at Petco is $150 or so. The ferret shelter in my city has them for $25-$50. A private breeder/shelter will be much more knowledgeable.

Yeh tips are rare - it’s ordered thru petco and they advertise free shipping if over x amount so people assume it’s just like Amazon. It’s not their fault petco outsources to doordash instead of FedEx for delivery of several hundred pounds of dog food . I’ve done the 10 deliveries mine was$70 for 45 miles or something like that .
