Have proper voltage at BUS and have proper voltage at relay but it also has voltage on the ECM control wire from ECM which should be ground to function relay. Motorcycle Mechanic: Louie. Two (2) possibilities: ECM faulty ( least likely ); a sensor is not sending the correct signal to ECM ( most likely ).

You need a new ECM (under the hood), not the ECU (under the seat). I have checked the fuxsible links and swapped out both the ignition and the run switches. My question is,does anyone know how the bench test this little box. Or what its actul name is if I have to order one.

Jul 10, 2014 · These machines are notorious for having bad ECM' s. Particularly 04 thru 07. Polaris knew of the problems but couldn't find a fix. They even developed a scan that was supposed to look for possible trouble ECM 's but that proved to be a bust in the end. I ordered a new ECM and after I install it I'll let you guys know what happens.
