To answer the question. No the game is not dead. You have problems finding games mainly due to your region you live in. Unlike previous cod games, matchmaking here prevents you from joining servers where your ping is to high thus you are locked out from most world servers and can mainly play in only your regions servers.

Just be aware that if you have a new account made after 2017, and it’s never had Black Ops server data attached to it proper to 2017, you will not be able to rank up permanently. When you log back in to the game after turning off the system, or even just going back to the main menu of the game, you will be back to rank one. 2.

Uninstall the game, disconnect external drive, reinstall game on internal, stay at the very first screen for a few minutes, then it should work once you press A. Once you're in, you can plug in your external drive & transfer the game to it, and it'll work fine. EU servers yes ( you can use a vpn like protonvpn to connect to a lobby and disconnect afterwards ). i recommend you check out the boiii client tho. Use the t7 community patch and play in eu servers, tdm and domination is pretty active. BO3 still has an RCE exploit, so use T7 community patch to get rid of any exploits.
