In our research, that was not the case. All the Maxxforce series, including the 7, were bad. These problems were not limited to big rigs. School buses also had problems including losing the high-pressure fuel pumps, diluted engine oil, and lost oil pressure and the contaminate was the diesel fuel.We have a 2011 28 foot Allegro Breeze with the Maxxforce 7. 59,000 miles. Purchased used in 2013. The reasons we still have it: No issues with the Navistar engine. We have gotten 10-11 mpg running about 62 mph. Doesn't use lube oil between changes.
