There is no ilvl change as ancient gear is the same as upper relic in ilvl (1390). The next soft reset is with Akkan gear (Upper ancient, 1525) and gear conversion from Ancient to Upper Ancient will grant you ilvl and better honing rates the same way this soft reset did. EDIT: I mean Brel NM in the poll to be specific. Only reason I compare Akkan and Brell is that on brel 5 6 when you progged 1 dead = reset, In akkan while progging is pretty much the same. Only G2 is less strict but the lower number of ppl alive is the harder last destro check is.G3 akkan and G6 brell are very similar.

As of now a lot of the groups I've been in are barely killing akkan NM with like 30secs to a minute left on the timer. And this is with lvl 9 gems+ and some of the players with 22+ wep. I have 3 Main 1580 and 3 alts 1560. I was planning to level up 1560 ones to Akkan though I am saving gold for Lvl 10 gems. I am leveling Aeromancer to swap one alt. Just slowly doing G1-G4 normal. Very few support mains will fully pug Akkan and there will be very few support alts at 1580 so the spots in pug groups as a dps will be hard to get. Dunno what your engravings look like, but if you are basic 5x3 without lvl 3 set you have hard time competing with 5x3+1 people in lvl 3 sets.

Hard Akkan simply gives about 50% more than what you get from normal Akkan, without any new reward. Total gold is 5500 in normal and 7500 in hard.
