If it’s over a fireplace, EVER, it’s too high (never understood how this dumb trend started). If you’re seated, and the bottom of the TV is even a single centimeter above you’re eye level, it’s too high. Ideally, your eye level should hit the TV between the center and about ⅓ up from the TV bottom. Any higher is always too high.

The center of the TV should be level with your eyeline. So if your eyeline is 110cm from the floor, and the TV is 80cm high (somewhat accurate for 65” TV), then 70cm on the lower edge of the TV is correct. If your couch is a bit higher and your eyeline is 130cm then the lower edge of your TV should be 90cm from the floor.
