I have 600 Jr. die sets for all of the gauges and use them as needed. The die sets are easy to switch out. It usually takes about 10 minutes once you get up on the learning curve. When loading new I fired hulls on my 600 set up for 3” hulls, the old style works far better at sitting the initial crimp. Tilt the powder and shot bottles and remove the drop tubes. Back the rod out of the shell-lifter yoke, then thread the locking nut off the end of the rod. Remove the two screws holding the drop tube bracket and slide the rod upward while sliding the old wad guide bracket off the end. Excuse the caps. All my pacific hornady wad fingers are white. Never tried them on a mec. OLD lee fingers do but are discontinued. They are for the old mallet tool aluminum tube wad guide for the deluxe kit. Seen at gun shows in junk boxes and MAYBE gun parts/numrich if you deep search. Not lee wad guide or load all fingers.

Bumping up your payload with the same powder charge might be asking for trouble. It doesn't take much to exceed shotgun pressure limits of 11,500 psi for 12 gauge. If the load isn't a "book" load, don't shoot it. Might switch to a slower powder with more bulk. 17 grains of powder doesn't take up much space in the case.
