You will need to provide the fuel pump relay with another source of switched power, as the Jeep ECM is not providing one now. You could take them out and see what happens. A better fix might be to turn the pinion up towards the transfer case anyway, if you have driveline problems after removing the shims on the skid plate.

It doesn't really seem to have any common issues, maybe bad solenoids. Mine has 231,000, seems fine. Use the correct fluid, keep them cool, use O/D off when towing anything. Enjoy.
