I talked to my wife, she said the lights turn on & stay on after she turns on the truck. I did have the front hub bearings replaced about 2K miles ago & noticed there were no sensors attached to them.

On topic: I agree that the ABS uses the sensor in the rear diff as well as one on each front hub but i have yet to find any info saying the "spedo" is controlled from there as well. I've had the DSC + brake light problem for about a year. I have a unique problem though. The lights only come on when it's NOT hot out. If I start the car when it's hotter than about 85-90 degrees out, especially if the car has been sitting in the sun for a while, the lights will not come on at all, and I can even turn the DSC on and off fine as if it's working correctly.
