Horizon walker build.
The Horizon Walker 5e concentrates on Dexterity, but you can make a Strength build work. The constitution is essential if you plan on doing a melee battle. At the same time, Ranged characters can utilize Intelligence to produce their DCs higher. Banish whoever doesn’t belong, with almost guaranteed benefits!
Posts: 2. I am currently playing a Horizon Walker Ranger at level 10. I am looking to multi-class after Level 13. My character is a dex based archer, and I selected Archery +2 at level 2. I am a human and chose Resilient (Constitution) at level 1 for proficiency with CON saves.Alternatively a ranged ranger as per the usual builds is fairly self explanatory. You could go a bit more interesting perhaps though to capitalize on the Close-range nature of the Horizon walker. Normal Longbow Ranger, Sharpshooter and Archery is fairly self-explanatory.The Horizon Walker is a close-range class, so melee is probably better damage-wise. Sword and board is the way to go IMO with dueling as it is the best mix of defense and offense. The Ranger has the same hit dice as a fighter, so that is not a problem. You do not need mobility as the distant strike ability does not provoke opportunity attacks ...The Horizon Walker ranger is the other subclass that is built for a more cosmic campaign. Their introduction in Xanathar’s Guide to Everything even says “Horizon walkers guard the world against threats that originate from other planes or that seek to ravage the mortal realm with otherworldly magic.”

For Horizon Walker, I'd not multi class before level 11 at the very least: With Tasha's, levels 1-10 for a Ranger are pretty dope, and Horizon Walker's level 11 ability is great. A DEX S&B build would work fine as well. (average of 56). That's better then crossbow expert start of 2d6 + 1d4 + 6 assuming 2 attacks from crossbow and Favored foe (average of 15.5). Dueling fighting style for damage, spells such as Zephyr Strike and Ensnaring Strike, and at level 4 get Elven Accuracy. With Zephyr and Ensnaring Strike you can easily proc Elven Accuracy so you can effectively crit fish. Currently a level 8 horizon walker.Horizon Walker doesn't synergize with Monk well, because it's about making a single powerful attack and Monk is about stacking lots of small attacks, it would be great for Rogue. The Horizon Walker is a skirmisher-type Ranger with weird utility. The ability to change your weapon damage to Force basically guarantees that you’ll be useful in any fight; including against Swarms! You get relatively fantastic mobility, and none of your class skills hold you to melee or ranged combat.
