open the Fallout4Prefs.ini. You should see something like this. for fullscreen make sure that: bBorderless=1 bFull Screen=1. for resolution change for 21:9 resolutions (3440x1440, 2560x1080 etc) change: iSize H= (your resolution height e.g 1440,1080) iSize W= (your resolution width e.g 3440,2560) then save the file.

Fox example at the begining in the house, when talking to the VaultTec salesman and changing the skills, the UI is wrong so that you cannot type a username.go to "documents/my games/fallout 4/" and open "fallout4presf.ini". search for: "iSize H" and change to your desired height resolution (example: iSize H=1080) search for: "iSize W" and change to your desired width resolution (example: iSize W=2560) save the file. go to "documents/my games/fallout 4/" and open file "fallout4.ini".It's a massive pain in the ass.
