I saw a strange looking FAL at the gun show today. It didn't have any markings on the receiver except some small lightly etched writing under the ejection port that said FG002. It was a metric and I don't know much about metrics but it had a straight comb stock , metal handguards, and a stoll FH that didn't have the slots cut all the way through.Feedback: 36 / 0 / 0. The magazine in the middle has a parkerized finish and the follower is dark blued. Based upon the characteristics and finish of the middle magazine, I do not believe it was refinished (I could be wrong). The G-series came with at least 2 different styles of leather slings that may have included the above type. The military issue Belgian FALs came with an Enfield-type green cotton web sling.

What I think I know for sure is it's on a L1A1 lower with an inch bolt and bolt carrier and the upper is a SAC import from the 90's with the import mark in the magwell. The serial number on the barrel matches the receiver and there is a small x looking mark at the bottom of the barrel under the handguards.Just make sure, you can run your mower between the small retaining walls, ie, step it out wide enough between runs. Use old railroad ties, rebar stakes to hold in place, less digging, and it will quickly stabilize between runs. Ya need some rent a teens and shovels. Could be made beautiful with that natural terrain.I have now been gifted what looks like two kits with a few small pieces missing. I do believe I can get two out of this.
