NSPs for: Speed of Loading, Saving Storage Space, Ease of Use, and Compatibility between CFWs. XCIs for: Less Ban Risk. I prefer XCI for many reasons, but mostly for: Moving games whenever I want and delete updates/dlcs without the hassle to reinstall the entire game. Xci’s are nice but require nsp’s for updates.
I should have stated that I launched a nsp game while connected to the internet, and unless I have the worst luck ever, because I was playing the nsp and seen my wifi was connected, I exited the game, booted off, and tried the eshop, was banned. Personally, I think NSPs are easier to find and install. It nsp or xci don't have you banned, the CFW will. Backing up your nand doesn't prevent a ban. Nintendo will ban the certificate of your console, which can't be changed or replaced regardless you restoring an old nand.
