The upside is that hitboxes are always correct; if you are behind a chocobo on the same lane, you're -actually- behind it. If you hit a chest, you -will- hit that chest, and not accidentally lag through, etc. Fun fact: FFXIV 1.0 was based entirely on that server-side system.

Select the gear icon on the upper right corner of the PS5 interface. Click on Network from the list of options. Then, choose Set Up Internet Connection. Wait for the console to scan for the connection. Click the Options button. Select Wifi Frequency Bands within the popup menu. Choose the 5 GHz option.

Even during the height of the Endwalker release, once I was in my connection was completely solid. Since patch 6.3, I'm getting constant and persistent packet loss. Everything on my screen will freeze for 3 to 5 seconds and then everything will happen all at once. This seems to happen every 20 to 30 seconds and is making it very difficult to. Its a lot smoother and still looks pretty AF. Yes, the PS5 Versions performs worse than the PS4 one played on PS5 even tho it looks exactly the same. Especially in Bozjan and Zadnor the CEs are a lag fest. Digital Foundry mentions this in their Video about XIV.Does the lag exist in other games? Try to see if it's a game issue, or Xbox issue.
