We have really good 124-147 now, better bullets.147 technically has (marginally) more reliable expansion but the only reason id prefer that is if you run a suppressor. 124 is probably your best bet. I carry 124 for work by policy and 147 off work. They’re both great. I carry a G45 on duty and a 43x or 19.5 MOS off. 147 for the 43x and 124 for the 19.

This is best for guns with shorter barrels (ie conceal carry) vs the 147 grain standard pressure load. Either brand. I think Gold Dot tends to penetrate further and HSTs tend to get slightly larger expansion. I carry 124 grain HST, but honestly gold dots will work just as well.
