Hey guys-. So yesterday the Duramax was totally dead. I kept getting code U0105, and the ECU fuse would blow every time I would turn the key. Cranks, no start. I isolated it to the wiring harness, and sure enough there was a spot where a metal bracket had worn through the wiring harness. The engine control module (ECM) supplies power and ground to the fuel rail pressure (FRP) regulator. The ECM monitors current on the circuits to detect a failure. If the current is outside of the expected range, DTC P0090 will set. The ignition is ON. The commanded FRP regulator current is between 400-1,500 mA .I had the code read at Auto Zone. They said it had to do with fuel pressure control/performance. The code #P0089 says the fuel pressure solenoid control circuit voltage is implausible. Probable causes: Open or short circuit condition. Faulty fuel pressure solenoid. EMC fault.
