I recently replaced the tie rods on my 07 MDX, and then drove the car (without having the alignment done yet) and the "Check VSA System" warning message came up on my dash display after about 10 minutes of driving. It had never come on before even with the bad tie rods and the steering wheel off a bit.

Start the car and watch the voltage increase. It should be around 13.8 to 13.9 for a safe amount of power going to the battery. Step 1. Drive the car to a secure and empty park/location. Step 2. Once you arrive, switch off the check engine lights and turn them on again. Repeat these steps three or four consecutive times. That should fix your problematic Acura MDX Emissions light - but only if the defect is minor (the latter part is important!).A fully charged AGM or FLA battery should read 12.6-12.7V at the battery terminals with no load.
