I agree that it's for harder difficulties, those that you can't steam roll. Up to something like Hero Nightfall, Nezarec's Sin + Graviton Lance/Funnelweb/Gnawing Hunger for a Void build is better IMO. The thing with Contraverse Hold is that it needs Chaos Accelerant which only gives you 1 fragment slot.

If you're not using void weapon, Contraverse Hold is a great option. Throw it a high health target and it'll proc twice, fully refunding nade energy. Might be better in high level content where you're not mowing down ads fast enough to stack Verity buff. If you're a scatter nade fan, Nothing Manicles were recently fixed and work really well.
