I had a tiny piece of plastic break off of a chamber flag and get stuck between the barrel chamber and feed ramp which totally locked up the 1911. It didn't allow the barrel to drop and disengage the locking lugs. with an extreme amount of force the plastic finally crushed to where the barrel would unlock.
Attach a cleaning patch to the jag and apply the solvent. Run the patch through the barrel to remove any remaining residue. Repeat this process until the patches come out clean. Wipe the barrel with a clean, dry patch to remove excess solvent. Compared to my other 1911's, it feels sloppy, clunky and is loud. I know it's not a high end Kimber, but my Ruger SR1911 feels better.
