Then remove the dually bed and bolt on a single wheel bed. You'll have to cut down the filler neck to size for the single bed also. The dually axle on the Dodge is about 4 inches wider than a 2500 …

A 2nd gen 80 can be modded to fit. The E- brake will be N/A after that. The cables are different betwen the two generations. I don't know of anyone getting E-brakes hooked up on the 80's in a 1st gen. A Ford axle can be put in also. The spring perches will need notched to clear the u-bolts.
